HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The HVAC Maintenance Technician role is critical in ensuring proper environmental controls throughout our facility, including aseptic manufacturing zones, laboratories, and storage areas. The HVAC Maintenance Technician will be responsible for daily operations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems. For major repairs or upgrades, the technician will coordinate with external contractors or OEM service teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC performance across cleanrooms, labs, and warehouse zones
  • Diagnose and resolve HVAC-related issues including chillers, AHUs, compressors, dehumidifiers, dampers, and HEPA filtration units
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance activities and maintain service logs
  • Ensure compliance with GMP environmental and air quality standards
  • Assist with HVAC validation, requalification, and alarm response management
  • Coordinate third-party services for large-scale or complex system repairs
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational or HVAC trade certification preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in HVAC maintenance (preferably in GMP/pharma environment)
  • Familiarity with cleanroom air balancing, HEPA filters, and differential pressure controls
  • Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support production or emergencies
